i got hacked many times

some kids learned how to hack and they keep hackin me

i use windows xp and i need u guys to show me how to protect my pc and how to close all potrs...

i can do anythin for that.

if you are hacked so often, you may have a hidden trojan running? do you use anti virus? do you use a registry cleaner? or malware cleaners like XoftSpy?

if you are behind a router (broadband) check to see if there are any ports open that you do not use? virtual or port forwarding

This is the easy way (as in least amount of understanding required). Though it does take a fair bit of time. It won't keep the professionals out but should be adequate to keep the script kiddies at bay.

1) Save any important documents to an external drive
2) Give them a good scanning with a clean (up to date) computer to clear out any malware (virus, adware, spyware, root kits, etc...)
3) Disconnect computer from Internet
4) Format & reinstall Windows
5) Install a 3rd party firewall from a disk (Zonealarm, Comodo, or whatever). The Windows built-in blows
6) Install Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware scanners (be sure to include Windows Defender along with whatever happen to be your preferences)
7) Reconnect Internet
Update everything (Windows, Office & Scanners)
9) Fix router settings (if you have one)
10) Reinstall Software and Data

Hopefully I didn't forget any steps

Very comprehensive Lurker, but if I may add a few comments .
Prevention is easier than the cure, but it could be DDK84 is beyond that.

My basic suggestions:
1. Pay for A/V = Nortons ---= Free Avast.
2. Firewall , and the built in doesn't blow IMHO, just use windows Defender with it OK take shots at me for that but I've never had to reload
    my system to get rid of a virus and I sometimes venture to the very edge when browsing.
The others you suggested are prolly ='ly as good, just be careful where you punch holes.
3. Hirens Boot CD ( available from [Migel] on the main site) for emergencies. Damn good bootable disk must have
4. Spybot S&D including resident protection.

It changes all the time as the bad boys get smarter .

BTW don't port forward unless absolutely necessary , it seems cool, but it is in fact just another exposure.

DDFR then install a good firewall and hit us back.

p.s. disconnect from the internet while u do all this. and dont install anything else u may have dled till u have a firewall and antivirus in place. and i dont mean a pirated one. a trial version will work fine as long as u can update till u get a good one installed.

As long as you open the ports you actually need (are using) you shouldn't notice any significant impact in speed.

At the PC level if you are using a software firewall like Zonealarm or Commodo you don't even have to think about which ports should be open or closed (Netbarrier for the Mac crowd). It'll ask you which programs should have net access and work out the details itself.

On your router/modem you will likely have to forward the ports you are using. In theory anything UPnP capable should be able to negotiate that automatically but more often than not it fails.

Best way to look at it is close them now and if it is a major problem then you can always open them again later.

If u want a permanent solution for this than just format and first install Kaspersky anti-virus its best for ur situation!!!

It has an option of protecting Registry, U may use NOD32- Smart Security It has the Best Fire wall i faced!!! And do a regular Upadets to the AV's Ok u can find both of them on h33t main site!!! Hope u will Enjoy Un-hacked!!!

As i know they(Hacker u were talking abt) are from ur network hood only!!! U may look out for some torjans!!! They r usueally running in ur task manager!!! If u got Disabled Task Manager and Registry than please try this to enable them
